Abstract
Due to the exhaustive operations of the airline and its fleet of aircraft in continuous use, it has a maintenance program to ensure their correct operation. However, despite the fact that Copa Airlines has incorporated technologies that automate its inventory processes, it is necessary to have an inventory that meets the needs of each aircraft; For this reason, inventory must have software that allows a total visualization of the inventory that ranges from the costs of the parts, their history, number of shipments and distribution of the parts by aircraft to other stations in other countries that require it. In this sense, the following general objective is proposed: Determine procedures with the use of PDT that contribute to the efficiency of the inventory according to the locations, dimensions and quantities available. As for the methodological process, it is developed in a positivist paradigm, with a descriptive, experimental field method. Among the relevant results that are expected is the use of software to carry out inventories. It is part of a relatively new technology to solve the problem of coordinating and controlling materials so that they are available when they areneeded and not have surpluses. Once the statistical results and the analysis of the same have been obtained, a contribution and final considerations of the investigation will be issued.
