Psychological Foundations of the University Educational Process

Abstract
This article examines the psychological foundations that influence the educational process at the university level, with particular emphasis on individual pedagogical work relationships. Five core dimensions are addressed from a theoretical perspective: student personality, cognitive processes, affective processes, classroom communication, and logical thinking skills. The contributions of educational psychology—including the concepts of subjectivity and pedagogical psychology—are also explored as frameworks for understanding the diversity of university learners. The methodology employed is theoretical reflection and specialized literature review, supported by the Socratic method and Research-Based Learning (RBL). Results highlight that university learning is a multidimensional process in which emotional, cognitive, and social factors interact dynamically, and that pedagogical effectiveness largely depends on the teacher's ability to recognize and address the subjective diversity of students. It is concluded that quality university education requires flexible methodologies, empathetic communication, and the deliberate development of critical thinking skills.
